Assistant Cashier Manager

Job Posting: 03/03/2018 Job ID: R0003545 Location: Chestnut Hill, MA Address: Chestnut Hill, 200 Boylston Street Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Days Hours Req: Full time applicants will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be available Monday through Saturday throughout the year, including some holidays. Sundays are not required but will be paid at time and one half. Shifts vary based on department and typically include a variety of early mornings, afternoons and evenings for all employees. Schedule: Full-time

Our Front End employees play a crucial role in leaving a lasting impression on our customers. In this position, you’ll ensure the Front End operates smoothly and employees have the tools and resources needed to provide incredible service upon customers exiting the store.   • Proactively approach customers, assist them in locating products, and answer any questions they have
  • Promptly respond to assist cashiers to meet customer needs quickly and efficiently
  • Monitor customer flow and traffic patterns throughout the store, manage the right number of open lanes and run registers as necessary to reduce customer wait time

Results (What We Measure)

  • Assist Team Leader it coordinate the activities of team members, ensure tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently, and department runs smoothly
  • Minimize shrink by ensuring re-shops are done on a timely basis while managing department efficiency
  • Support store events and ensure employees are educated on and following programs and initiatives
  • Ensure team members are properly handling products, using equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Work Environment

  • Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting, standing and walking for up to 4 hours without a break, occasional bending, frequent reaching, moving and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5-12 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 40 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction)

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience preferably in a food service, restaurant, grocery or retail setting
  • Managerial/supervisory experience
  • Service Desk customer service experience
