Job Description

Job Duties
Under the supervision of the Director, Quality Informatics and Analytics, this position provides advanced quality data and analytical support to UCLA Quality Management Service department. The responsibilities include performing detailed analyses on hospital ranking systems such as CMS Start rating system (Hospital Compare), managing Hospital Compare database and creating a dashboards and providing project management on new tool implementations (a registry and a peer review tool). The incumbent is required to work effectively as part of a team and work productively with the department staff while assuring the maximum use of technology to promote efficient work systems.

Job Qualifications
REQUIRED: MS degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, statistics, Business, or related field Demonstrate proficiency in SAS, Tableau, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint Have experience in Clinical Data Analytics, Statistics, and Quality Measures Have advanced analytical and quantitative skills Have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills Have project management skills Have a good understanding of the industry-specific issues, regulatory requirements, and current healthcare reform Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced and creative environment Have the ability to prioritize work and remain detail oriented Have excellent oral and written communication skills PREFERRED: PHD in quantitative fields 3+ year experience in data management and data analysis 2+ year experience in healthcare industry 2+ year experience in statistical analysis 2+ year experience in project management
