Job Description:

The Saint Michael's College Office of Human Resources has an opening for a temporary, part-time Benefits Specialist. The position is 20 hours per week lasting until December 2019.

Essential Functions

* Assist with benefits enrollment, reconciliation, billing and administration.
* Assist with investigating, researching and resolving employee inquiries on benefits.
* Clerical duties, such as filing, sorting, organizing, and distributing.
* Complete other projects and tasks as assigned

Analytic Skills:

* The ability to recognize several likely causes of events, analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation, and then formulate a multi-step response is required.

Language and Literacy Skills:

* Reads and understands basic and complex instructions. Conversational skills including responding to supervisors and co-workers as needed to ask questions, provide information, seek direction and plan work. Strong writing skills.

Computer/Technology Skills:

* Excellent on systems; Colleague a plus; proficient in excel.


* Bachelor's Degree
* Benefits background a plus
* Systems: Colleague a plus
* 2-4 years' experience.
