Job Description

Overview

Princeton University seeks a TigerCall Manager to join the Annual Giving staff. The TigerCall Manager works with Annual Giving staff members to plan and efficiently implement the Annual Giving student calling program. The position works in an environment dedicated to advancing the mission of the university, and in building positive and meaningful relationships with both alumni and co-workers.

The TigerCall program is an integral part of Princeton's Annual Giving program and employs over 70 students each year. Student callers solicit annual unrestricted gifts from alumni, parents, and friends. The TigerCall Manager provides on-site leadership and management for AG's TigerCall program including managing student personnel, creating calling strategies, monitoring performance and recruiting, training, and motivating student callers. Evening and weekend work is requried to support the varied calling shifts.

Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities:

* Actively promote donor-centric approach to annual giving alumni solicitation and engagement by students including a goal of a positive experience for all alumni and parents contacted by the TigerCall program.
* Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and manage 7-10 students supervisors and 60 callers to support both evening and weekend shifts
* Create a professional, positive atmosphere
* Monitor caller activity and provide real-time feedback and performance coaching
* Develop and execute team building activities and employee incentive and recognition programs
* Manage interface with the university prospect database, and generate calling pools
* Work with department management to develop and execute the Tiger Call budget, including payroll
* Generate, analyze, and evaluate reports on call center activity and results
* Liaison with AG frontline staff on strategy, requests, and coordination of effort
* Coordinate AG Gather and Reach Out alumni volunteer thons in New York City and regionally
* Assist with senior AG pledge program and student engagement
* Respond to donor inquiries and concerns as appropriate in a timely manner
* Route donor inquiries and concerns to other staff as necessary
* Ensure proper and timely donor acknowledgement
* Proactively maintain knowledge of current trends in annual giving and telefundraising fields
* Complete other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* Approximately one to three years of experience with annual giving or telemarkteing programs
* Extensive knowledge of Campus Call or automated calling software
* Experience motivating and managing a team in a fast paced environment
* Demonstrated supervisory and personnel management skills to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate performance
* Demonstrated PC software skills in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

* E-marketing experience
* Prior Higher Education
