Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates Ltd. is seeking candidates for the role of Geotechnical Technician (Intermediate). This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your technical skills in the field with like-minded professionals in an employee-owned international firm. Opportunities are available in the London office.

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
* Provide technical services in a field, laboratory and office environment;
* Supervise and/or carry out site geotechnical inspections of construction work and materials testing;
* Conduct in situ testing of various materials on construction sites, compaction testing and testing of concrete and asphalt;
* Perform laboratory testing on construction materials;
* Participate in a team environment;
* Demonstrating a "Safety-First" focus and acting as a role model to other staff;
* Maintaining a high standard of behaviour to uphold Golder's reputation and demonstrating a commitment to our Core Values; and,
* Work with and provide support to other members of the field technician group in assisting with other field and office activities as required.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
* Graduated from a Civil Engineering Technology diploma program, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering and/or materials testing or equivalent experience;
* A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a geotechnical technician is required;
* Formal training on use of and experience with nuclear density testing equipment is required;
* Knowledge of basic concrete testing requirements is required;
* Knowledge of geotechnical and geo-environmental drilling and testing procedures is an asset;
* Must own a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and hold a valid driver's license;
* Good written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong organizational skills; and
* Interest in development of skills in engineering and consulting business practices is an asset.
