 Custodian Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs Excellent Benefits

Primary Responsibility

Under the close supervision and/or supervision of the Physical Plant Manager or Maintenance Manager, the Custodian maintains cleanliness of a building or portion of a building; performs minor maintenance and snow removal; and general housekeeping, grounds-keeping, and maintenance duties

Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)

1.    Education/Training and Experience: High School Degree/GED and related experience.

2.    Special Skills or abilities related to position: Experience with standard cleaning operations; computer and custodial experience is preferred.

3.    Valid Colorado driver’s license is required

Under the supervision of the Physical Plant Manager, the Custodian maintains cleanliness of a building or a portion of a building which may include offices, classrooms and/or a student residence hall; performs minor maintenance, snow removal, and general housekeeping. The anticipated schedule for this position is:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Some schedule variations may be necessary at times.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally competent environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, and community members having diverse backgrounds. Applicants with conversational Spanish language skills may be given preference.
