JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will augment the faculty in the Electrical Engineering program. Under the supervision of the Dean, this position performs classroom and laboratory instructional duties in the Electrical Engineering program. The position must be able to work a flexible schedule as dictated by the semester scheduling needs of the program and the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
* Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
* Ensure that course is taught in accordance with established syllabi.
* Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
* Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
* Supervision of students.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related industrial discipline with five (5) years direct experience in the field with demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline are required.

Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience as an electronic technician (industrial), plant engineer, maintenance foreman, engineering lead worker, etc. is required. Experience working with a diversity of electrical/electronic and PLC equipment is preferred. The applicant must be able to communicate effectively and develop programs and curricula to meet industry needs. Employee must be able to work independently and use sound judgment.
