About me

Entertainment Productions at New England School of Communication

I am passionate in becoming a light designer for live concerts and events. I am at a time in my life where my confidence is aligning with my destiny and my dream is becoming a reality. I am pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Entertainment Production at the New England School of Communication (NESCOM). I am enhancing my skills in order to do the behind the scenes work to make sure the show goes on while taking full charge of lighting technician duties during the live event. I was a leader while a member of the U.S. Air Force and have transferred all those traits to my civilian life. My wide range of understanding in both the workforce and in personal relationships has provided me with many opportunities to work with many great people. I have found when opportunities make themselves available saying yes over no makes life way more fun and enjoyable.

Recommendations

To whom it may concern, Joey Morrissette has been a student of mine for the past few years at Southern Maine Community College. I have had the pleasure of having him in five classes. Joey is what I would consider an ideal student. He is diligent in his studies, always scoring in the top percentage of my classes. His work is always on time and very thorough. Joey came into our program with a strong aptitude for live sound, but when asked to perform other roles outside his skill set, he has enthusiastically taken up the challenge and prided himself in learning everything he can in the process. Last year, after noticing Joey's drive, I asked him to come work on the set of my short film, "The Barn." Joey was quickly noticed by the gaffer for his work ethic, and by the end of the day, Joey had assumed the position of key grip. Not only is Joey enthusiastic and driven, but he is also a team player. Joey works well within the team dynamic, and takes the time to explain concepts to other students when they are struggling. He makes sure everyone's voice is heard, and that everyone feels like part of the team. With all the skills that Joey has demonstrated, I can confidently give him my highest level of recommendation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by email at: cnorman@smccme.edu or by phone at: (207) 741-5770. Sincerely, Corey M. To whom it may concern, As regards to Joey Morrissette, I've known him for ten years or more and find him one of the best students, friend, and employee. Having known him in each of these capacities, it honors me to recommend him for any and all undertakings. His ability to troubleshoot and problem solve whatever task he undertakes is uncanny. Enthusiastic and thorough, he is a joy to work with and has a wide range of understanding in both the workforce and in personal relationships that is rare and appreciated. I taught him horticulture at my nursery and florist and was amazed at his private study that he undertook on his own. Retentive and thorough in completing tasks made him enjoyable to have on the grounds. I've watched, listened, and enjoyed his audio and video projects and, again, his need to know and try for the best makes for some very professional results. You will find Mr. Morrissette a very valuable member of any team, class, or project that he might endeavor to accomplish.
