Athens Administrators is seeking an Assistant Claims Examiner in our Irvine location to provide technical and clerical assistance to Senior Claims Examiners and administer Medical Only claims while ensuring timely processing of claims and payment of benefits, managing and directing medical treatment, and setting reserves.
High School Diploma
Completion of IEA or equivalent courses
Knowledge of workers compensation laws, policies, and procedures
Understanding of medical and legal terminology
Excellent verbal and written communiation skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to research and resolve problems
Mathematical calculating skills
Ability to work in a paperless environment
Administrators Certificate from Self-Insurance Plans
Experienced Indemnity Claims Adjuster Designation
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
