Requirements and Competencies

* Must be at least 18 years old
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must have at least 1 year of character experience
* Must have a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a company driver's license
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time
* Must be able to lift, push and pull 45 pounds
* Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts

Desired Qualifications

* Training from a professional arts school preferred
* Leadership experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities

* Provide guidance for the Character staff and maintain a positive working environment
* Prepare weekly and daily schedules
* Assist in training and critiquing of new ambassadors
* Provide feedback to Manager regarding character activities
* Maintain all walk around costumes and the character rooms
* Order all supplies for walk around character staff
* Assign lockers, uniforms and other items to new hires in department
* Perform office duties such as filing, organization, and computer documentation
* Manages daily operation of Character section including all in park and out of park character promotional appearances.
* Perform other miscellaneous duties as required or requested including performing in costume
