Project Engineering Co-op

About the Role

Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently searching for two Project Engineering co-ops. This is a full time position from May 2020 to December 2020.

What You Will Do

As the Mechanical Engineering co-op you will work with Mechanical Project engineers, other interns, and technical operators and tradespeople to support the assets of a fast-paced 24-7 manufacturing operation. You will gain design, project leadership, and process improvement support experience in the areas of safety, quality, and mechanical efficiency. Your projects will be varied but can include safety improvements, structural improvements and documentation, ergonomic improvements, and machine efficiency-born initiatives.

As the Electrical Engineering co-op you will work with Electrical and E-Save engineers, other interns, and technical operators and tradespeople to support the assets of a fast-paced 24-7 manufacturing operation. You will gain design, project leadership, and process improvement experience in the areas of safety, quality, DCS/PLC's and power efficiency. You will be offered opportunities for further technological learning in the areas of PLC/Logic Controllers and programming, arc-flash and NEC compliance identification and labeling, robotics, and training others in these knowledge areas.

Who You Are

* Must be enrolled in a 4-year college degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field;
* Good Planning, organizational, and follow-up skills, with attention to detail;
* Mathematical aptitude, Analytical ability, and MS Office skills required;
* Must have eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
