Supplier Management Intern will:

* Research various supplier portals to identify relevant content/functionality for adoption
* Define requirements for the development of Kite's Supplier Engagement Portal
* Identify the content and communication channels to be embedded within the Portal
* Plan and design the Supplier Engagement Portal in partnership with Supply Chain leads and IT Team
* Develop and present an implementation plan for the Portal
* Build a repository of current and potential suppliers

The Intern's primary responsibility is to help develop Kite's Supplier Engagement Portal to ensure efficient and systematic information requests/exchanges between Kite and our Supply Partners. The Intern will have the unique opportunity to support and work with our growing Global and East Coast stakeholder communities and gain exposure to supply chain principles and methodologies. The Intern will be deeply involved in the design and configuration of the Portal and help the Supply Chain team search potential suppliers and define effective supplier communication methods.

Basic Qualifications

* Must be at least 18 years or older
* Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college/graduate program after the completion of the internship (certification programs do not qualify)
* Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between June and September
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Kite sponsorship
* Must be able to finance own relocation/housing, if not local
* Disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or other related fields of study
* Ability to conceptualize, design and utilize various software applications
* Experience using SharePoint, Box, websites and other similar engagement/information portals
* Portal Administration skills
* Ability to collect, analyze/interpret and synthesize data
* Ability to build and maintain exceptionally strong and highly effective working relationships with internal customers, partners and stakeholders
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate organizational, prioritization, and time management proficiency
* Ability to apply systematic and creative problem-solving skills to technical challenges
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Learning and improvement oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with Architects/Leads in coding, testing and/or software implementations
* Experience with application development
* Hands-on experience creating portlets and working on themes and skins on websites
* Previous work experience through industry internships or projects
* Comfortable with and welcoming of the pace and ambiguity at Kite and of the growing Cell Therapy world
