TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking an energetic, team player Software Engineer to join our top notch TransSuite® development team in Norcross, GA

An integrated family of transportation management software products, TransSuite® is designed to meet a variety of traffic management needs within a single platform. TransSuite provides field-proven solutions for all Innovative Transportation Solution devices, including traffic signal controllers, freeway management data collection, ramp metering, dynamic message signs, CCTV controls and display management, incident management and response, and center-to-center interfaces.

We are seeking a Entry Level Software Engineer to participate in Software development for TransSuite utilizing current programming languages, including C#, SQL and Java. This is a hands-on role and the qualified candidate must be comfortable in .Net and SQL development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

* Responsible for coding the execution of complex designs and interactions that reflect the creative and art direction provided within the established technical framework
* Demonstratable skills in design, implementing and testing software modules
* Able to perform high quality work, both independently and with a team.
* Author technical design documentation that fully define all application code and the underlying methodology for the design decisions made
* Provide accurate resource estimates, timelines and forecasts for development activities
* Use and enforce best practices for code repositories and version control management
* Thoroughly test version releases and code changes prior to deployment.
* Maintain awareness of development trends and technology improvements and capitalize on opportunities.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Strong knowledge in programming languages and tools such as C#, Java, SOAP, WSDL, WADL and Visual Studio 2013 and later.
* Understanding and experience in working with SQL databases
* Experience with JSON, web services, REST services and/or similar
* Ability to work on concurrent tasks/projects with changing priority
* Team player with an energetic can-do attitude, driven to produce user experiences of the highest quality

Desired Skills & Experience:

* Experience with C#/.Net.
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
