This paid internship is 40 hours a week for 1 year. Position is located at the Church Office Building. This position supports the HR Business Partners within the Church History, Priesthood and Family, Missionary and several other departments with the coordination and analysis of HR metrics and execution of basic human resource duties. You would learn and work in human resource information systems and will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of various projects. This position is designed to provide you, a student or recent graduate, with hands-on human resource experiences in HR generalist work while making a tremendous contribution in building the kingdom of God. Medical benefits are included to meet ACA requirements. Hours are flexible.


* Perform data analysis regarding employee demographics, position information, performance calibration, compensation, etc.
* Learning and working in the Human Resource Information System (PeopleSoft)
* Recognizing and reconciling data errors
* Collect information needed to make decisions
* Generate queries
* Assist with day-to-day generalist tasks
* Assist in responding to employee requests
* Maintain other HR processes as assigned
* Performing other administrative and technical tasks as assigned
* Take on responsibility for small projects/special assignments
* Prepare presentations for key partners to facilitate decisions
* Partner with professionals within the departments to collect information to complete tasks


* Currently enrolled in a college or university or have graduated within the past year
* Pursuing a degree in HR and/or has general HR knowledge
* Successful candidate must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
* Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints currently worthy to hold a temple recommend
* Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook E-mail
* Highly organized and self-motivated
* Quick learner of software applications
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Team player
* Flexibility and the ability to prioritize changing requirements to meet urgent requests are required to be successful.
* Must be willing and able to learn, get involved, and help improve the processes.
* Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Attention to detail, organization, and follow through
* Ability to establish priorities, problem solve, and make decisions quickly and effectively without direction
* Ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong time management skills
* Ability to draft documents in a clear and concise way
* Demonstrate job flexibility and good team orientation
* Ability to work fast and efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor
* Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
* Applying candidates must be able to work well under pressure and complete assignments with short notice.
* Preference given to candidates who have worked in an HR or recruiting environment

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
