Job Summary

TDIndustries has a Summer 2020 internship opportunity for a motivated Business Management intern who is ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment.

The intern will assist in multiple facets of TDIndustries business which may include: Asset management, project reviews, payroll and accounting functions, job cost analysis/billing, warehousing/logistics and more. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in business administration.

Essential Duties

* Recognize the importance of being a team player by adapting to project needs and helping in other areas as needed.
* Foster relationships within the office and show a willingness to learn about the TDIndustries business.
* Maintain a highly organized work environment, understand the importance of time management, and communicate in a clear, concise and effective manner.
* Rotational learning and assignments with each function within our department:
* Job Cost: Understand the duties and billing structure within our job cost department and assist our Job Cost Analyst with various assignments.
* Human Resources: Assist with conducting new hire orientations and understand the HR workflow.
* Payroll: Process time weekly and resolve discrepancies.
* Purchasing & Accounts Payable: Comprehend how materials are purchased and how invoices are received and paid.
* Accounting: Ensures that all cost and cost adjustments are reviewed for accuracy to meet company standards and accounting rules.
* Warehouse: Perform shipping/receiving, and asset management tracking and coordinate with proper job site contacts for all tool and material deliveries.
* Contract Compliance: Participate in compliance procedures regarding our government contracts and interact with our sales teams across all of TD.
* Management: Learn about our management culture and approach to leading a diverse yet cohesive team. Assignment of a capstone project derived from exposure to the functions within the team.
* A formal training plan will be developed for the successful candidate that will include but not be limited to the responsibilities above.



Minimum Requirements

* Currently college level: Junior or Senior or Graduate student
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferred
* Possess strong analytical/quantitative skills
* Available to work Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for a period of up to 10-12 weeks.
