Position Description:

We are currently offering full-time, summer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. If you are interested in a career related to IT or Corporate Headquarters Services (i.e. Human Resources, Accounting, Recruiting, etc.), this opportunity is for you!

As a ValidaTek Intern, you will collaborate with many of our corporate departments such as Accounting, IT/Facilities, Human Resources, Recruiting and Program Support in order to acquire the general skills and knowledge of corporate infrastructure. In addition, you will receive a mentor in the professional, technical and/or business industry, exposure to networking opportunities within the DC metro area, as well as the potential to receive course credit (with permission from your college/university).

* Responsible for fielding Tier 1 IT Service Desk requests from multiple communication channels including Chat, Email and Telephone.
* Responsible for supporting and maintaining operating system workstations in support of business processing requirements.
* Update Centralized Knowledge base information within the Self Service Portal.
* Deal with issues from within the Help Desk involving all technologies. (Windows 10, MS Office2016/O365, VPN connectivity, Microsoft Active Directory)
* Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
* Ensures workstation data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

* Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* A willingness to be utilized where most needed within the company
* Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program that aligns with our primary services
* In good academic standing
* Able to commute to the McLean, VA office (main) and Washington, DC (secondary)
