Job Description

IPL is currently recruiting for a high-performing Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team in Lees Summit, Missouri. Our IPL is a publicly traded company with operations in multiple countries around the world.

The HR Manager will manage and support all aspects of the HR Functions to include HRIS management, Compensation & Benefits management, Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selections, FMLA, COBRA, Onboarding & Offboarding, EEOC and other HR Generalist duties.

General Responsibilities:

Human Resources Management:

* Responsible for managing all modules of the HRIS except for payroll processing. Primary contact for payroll processing support.
* Supports needs of Vice President U.S. HR and other IPL HR Team efforts as needed.
* Supports needs of Lees Summit HR with dotted-line responsibility to the Lees Summit Plant Director.
* Works with management team to develop staffing needs and strategies.
* Identifies, evaluates, and facilitates resolution of employee relations, morale, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns, working closely with managers.
* Provides coaching to managers with respect to performance management and development activities to facilitate positive team dynamics and the ability to deliver business results.
* Analyzes trends and takes appropriate actions to impact positive employee relations, reduce full-time and temporary associate turnover rates and ensures a positive culture.
* Takes preventative and reactive steps to avoid or successfully defend EEOC and similar-type grievances. Ensures company policies are communicated and enforced. Acts as the gatekeeper for ensuring standardized and appropriate application to protect integrity of policies and ensure everyone is treated fairly and consistently.
* Primary Lees Summit contact for Empower 401K.
* Forecast and manage budgets for HR, Safety and Training.
* Maintain currency in the field of HR and Employment Law changes.


* Manage Workers Compensation program (all elements) to include supporting Work Comp hearings and insurance company legal staff needs.
* Prepares and delivers Employee Communication Meeting presentations and other training courses on HR-related topics and training.
* Responsibility for all records maintenance related to HR and Training.
* Primary contact for customer-mandated supplier accountability auditing and reporting. Manage the Supplier Ethical Database Exchange (SEDEX) database and auditing requirements. Coordinate adding customers to SEDEX database access as requested.
* EEO-1 and other compliance reporting as required.
* Report trends and KPIs to internal and external management as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Education required:

* Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
* Professional Certifications in HR a plus.

Related Experience required:

* Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a HR Manager or HR Business Partner is preferred.
* Manufacturing experience a plus.

Specific Skills required:

* Experienced communicator.
* Experienced at accident investigation and analysis.
* Experienced trainer with great soft skills for working independently and as a team.
* Ability to continually prioritize needs and flexibility in changing focus as priorities dictate.

Work Conditions:

* Ability to adapt to evolving work environment.
* Light travel required.
