Job Description

Art Therapist

Min Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and entrance to Master's Degree program (Master's Degree from an AATA)

Crossroad South - Partial Hospitalization Program

Clinical Mental Health program (masters level)

Social work (masters level)

Min Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Services field preferred.
* Clinical mental health counselors must be a 2nd year student. Can be a practicum or internship.
* MSSW must be a 2nd year student or advanced standing (1 year masters due to having a Bachelor's in social work).

Inpatient Social Services - Inpatient Program

Clinical Mental Health program (masters level)

* Investment in learning the methodology of art/expressive therapy, group and individual therapy with a variety of age groups and population specifics such as chemical dependency, MMR-autism, severe behavior disorders, anxiety, depression, psychosis, chronic mental illness severe.

Requirements:

Description:

* This rotation is designed to provide students with an understanding of principles of pharmaceutical care for the psychiatric patient.
* Student will gain knowledge in the therapeutics and pathophysiology of patients with a variety of mental illnesses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse.
* Student will develop skills for appropriate drug therapy selection, drug therapy management, management of adverse drug reactions, identification of drug interactions, and education of patient and other health care professionals.
* Students will learn to function on an interdisciplinary treatment care team.
* Participate in medication education groups for patients
* Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings
* Perform Medication Use Evaluations
* Complete Medication Regimen Reviews at an intermediate care facility
* Work on special projects
* Perform injections in the LAI clinic and counsel those patients on injections and immunizations
