Job Description

The Financial Operations Associate is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department. This includes working closely with internal and external stakeholders, invoicing, collections, completing sales orders in the financial system, managing renewals, and managing and maintaining the overall book of business. This an exciting opportunity to get broad exposure to the finance/accounting function of a growing, international software company.

Responsibilities

* Manage all post sales processes from entering sales order in NetSuite, identifying and entering revenue elements in NetSuite, client billing, client interaction, and collections of accounts receivable.
* Enter all information into billing system and perform quality control checks to verify information for accuracy
* Effectively interact and communicate with team members and clients throughout the billing process to assure that billing information is correct, and collections are made in a timely manner
* Review open accounts for collection efforts
* Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management/customers
* Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
* Manage and maintain the book of business for renewals, updating with new sales, removing non-renewals, and scheduling renewal invoices throughout the year.
* Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
* Opportunity to grow into other Finance/Accounting areas including payroll, accounts payable, and special projects

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or equivalent experience preferred
* 0 -4 years of Accounting/Business/Finance experience
* Experience with NetSuite or an ERP preferred but not required
* Customer service background a plus
* Strong written and oral communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required
* Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
* Strong Excel and data management skills
* Organized, meticulous attention to detail
* Team player with an ownership mentality who exhibits intellectual curiosity
