Job Description

Avantguard is looking for a full-time recruiter to join our HR Intern. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, creative, and an excellent multi-tasker, to take on the some areas of sourcing/recruiting, HR generalist work, and office management. If youre someone who loves the startup environment feel, and is ready to take on many hats, this is the opportunity for you!

This role will encompass three areas including:

1. 70% talent acquisition (sourcing and Recruiting)

2. 20% human resource administration

3. 10% office and culture management

Talent Acquisition

Own the recruiting process at Avantguard of roles that are assigned to you. Assist the recruiting team in recruiting and sourcing top talent that represents are core values that include Caring, Fun, Innovation, Relationships, Service, Trust and Teamwork.

* Run the recruiting cycle for the operations team which includes Alarm dispatch team operators
* Help maintain campus recruiting through career fairs and table events
* Build relationships with team members to help source referrals
* Evaluate resumes and phone screen candidates
* Interview candidates face to face through a multi-level interview process
* Maintaining records or phone screens, schedules, interviews etc of potential candidates
* Scheduling interviews with potential candidates
* Handling the ATS system and making sure all candidates are updated
* Report metrics to VP of HR, HR Manager and SR. Recruiter
* Create a pipeline of great candidates
* Suggest and implement on-going improvements to the recruiting process

Human Resource Management

* Assist with data entry into various HR and Recruitment related systems
* Conduct an orientation where you inform new team members of policies, procedures, and culture
* Support entire HR Team to accomplish quarterly goals
* Assist in various responsibilities as assigned

Office Management

* Assist in office administration activities
* Promote the company values and culture
* Plan events to build rapport and uphold our company culture!

Preferred Requirements

* Excellent English (fluent written and spoken)
* Excellent communication skills (listening, explanatory, negotiation)
* Excellent interviewing skills (unbiased behavioral and situational interviewing)
* Excellent skills in observation and understanding people's values, attitudes and behavior
* Passion and willingness to learn and grow in the recruiting and HR functions
* Positive mindset and attitude
* Ability to work under pressure and work in a fast-changing environment
* Completed or working on Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
* Strong internal drive to provide excellent work and an excellent candidate experience
* Demonstrates creativity and candor
* Collaborate with multiple teams and sites in the organization
