The Pharmacy Tech Intern will assists pharmacists in processing physician's orders and maintenance of the automated drug delivery system (Pyxis). All drug dispensing activities are under the direct supervision and final-check of a pharmacist. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

EDUCATION AND SPECIFIC TRAINING:

Education Required

High School or GED

Education Preferred

License/Certification Required

License/Certification Preferred

Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy

Special Skills Required

Special Skills Preferred

Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training program or equivalent preferred.
