Job Description

Summary:

The Virtual Construction Intern will work with the Virtual Construction Team to ensure they have accurate and detailed drawings of commercial jobs. This Intern will assist with projects in our electrical, low voltage, phones, and IT teams.

In addition, this intern will also provide on-call CAD support for all Kidwell teams. The ability to effectively communicate processes and best practices is a must in this position. Strong candidates will have exceptional communication skills, as well as robust CAD and BIM knowledge.

Description:

* Provide remote CAD support for Lincoln, Omaha, and Kearney field staff.
* Provide programming and maintenance for field equipment.
* Prepare CAD plans and models for interference checks and clash detections. Preform interference check and present findings to the Virtual Construction Team.
* Follow Kidwell's CAD and BIM Standards, to ensure our drawings are always accurate and effective.

Requirements

* Must be a current student perusing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field.
* Strong understanding of the following software's: AutoCAD, BIM, and Microsoft Office.
* Proficiency in Bluebeam is preferred.
* Ability to problem solve technical issues and troubleshoot with the Kidwell Field Staff.
* Communication skills that are strong, well developed, and informative.
* Ability to work 20+ hours/week. Hours can be worked anytime between 7am-5pm.
