Our patients and the community can count on our ongoing commitment the health and wellbeing for generations to come. # # POSITION SUMMARY: To assist the Pharmacist and Technicians in various tasks throughout the pharmacy department. # POSITION DUTIES: IV compounding Accurately prepares sterile admixtures and assist the Pharmacist in the IV room. Using proper aseptic technique when preparing sterile admixtures. # IV reconciliation Properly reconciles IV#s on all nursing units. Follows proper procedures for charging and crediting medications.# Provides a timely delivery of IV medications to patient care areas according to scheduled delivery times. # Stocking/Out-of-date checking Consistently stocks and refills stock in the IV room to assist other shifts. Returns usable IV medications to stock and removes/waste outdated IV medications. Accurately checks designated areas for out-of-date medications. Cleans bins and shelves during this process. # Special projects/Assistance Performs special projects to assist the Pharmacist. Assist Pharmacists and Technicians with tasks involving the packaging, labeling, dispensing and delivering of medications. # The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and should not be considered a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent to the position. # JOB SPECIFICATIONS: # Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of IV compounding and calculations. Computer skills necessary to process charges and credits.
