Job Description

Position is contingent upon contract award

Knowesis is currently seeking an experienced Junior Analyst - Outreach Operations to support the efforts of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the Quantitative Analysis, and Data Management Support for the Office of Policy and Program Analysis (OPPA)

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Provide communications expertise to ensure clear, effective delivery of messages to stakeholders by assisting in developing and executing strategic communications and outreach plans and products.
* Develop original graphics to support communication concepts and products, and research and development of a weekly e-mail sent to the FEMA analytical community with short, insightful data facts that provide insight on analytical findings and topics relevant to the readers.
* Provide planning and logistical support for meetings, forums, and training, as well as tracking the effectiveness of these events.
* Take notes and provide meeting summaries.
* Prepare briefings for Agency Monthly Reviews.
* Assist FEMA in identifying, collecting, and analyzing evidence to facilitate agency leadership's strategic review discussions.

Experience and Skills

* BS or BA in communications or similar field.
* 3 years experience in developing outreach communications products within a decision support function.
* Prior experience within disaster management is desired, but not required.

Government Security Clearance Required: NACI/Public Trust or higher.

Work Location: Client site in Washington, DC/Fairfax, VA
