Instead, we facilitate communication between insurance carriers and our clients that purchase insurance. Key Contributions

The intern program provides individuals the tools to learn, contribute and gain real-work l business experience in a professional, collaborative environment. The intern will learn basic insurance functions and work alongside sales team members to perform and assist in the daily tasks related to the sales associate position.

Responsibilities and Tasks

* Learns basic insurance industry and organizational sales strategies while performing duties related to the essential job functions of the sales team
* Assists in identifying new business sales opportunities
* Identifies new mass marketing prospecting opportunities
* Develops and prepares insurance proposals and sales presentation materials
* Shadows sales team while on prospective and existing client meetings
* Works with producer and sales associates to complete applications and related documentation to appropriate insurance markets
* Attends and participates in agency producer meetings and sales meetings, including, but not limited to, training sessions and carrier meetings
* Participate in departmental rotations
* Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

* Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution
* Eligible to work in the United States
* Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
* Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and show initiative
* Demonstrate leadership qualities
