Job Description

The fund development intern will work within a team to raise funds and acknowledge donors in a wide variety of ways in support for the mission of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Potential Projects and Experiences:

* Assist with gift acknowledgment and donor database
* Research and prepare background for individuals and corporations
* Draft grant applications and reports
* Support and attend special events and fundraising activities, with the opportunity to manage various events/activities
* Secure sponsorships and in-kind requests (both written and verbal)
* Generate social media content to promote events, acknowledge donors, share giving opportunities, etc.

Skills Needed:

* Research, writing, editing and proofreading skills; organization, public speaking, detail oriented, exceptional phone etiquette

Schedule: Flexible, 10-20 hours per week

Majors Preferred: Social Sciences:Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Human Services, Marketing, Event Coordination, English, Women's Studies
