Job Description

Bring your experience and connections to a great opportunity with christopher consultants, ltd., a leading Civil Engineering Firm in the Northern VA area. We are currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Corporate Team at our main office in Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities

* Source, assess, and hire viable candidates for a variety of Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Corporate roles.
* Meet with managers to discuss their hiring needs. Make suggestions for improvements as necessary.
* Create attractive job advertisements. Use newsgroups, job sites, and social media to reach as many candidates as possible.
* Remotely coordinate interviews with hiring managers across the DC Metro area.
* Monitor job offers and compensation practices.
* Build comprehensive applicant pipelines for current and future requisitions.
* Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices.
* Schedule and attend Civil Engineering career fairs in and around the DC Metro area.
* Manage intern programs by attending college career fairs, conducting orientations, monitoring intern job contributions, coaching interns, and advising managers on training and coaching.
* Understand and enforce lawful Diversity and Affirmative Action goals.

Required Experience

* Five (5) or more years of full lifecycle recruiting experience
* Experience providing full lifecycle talent acquisition/recruiting for a growing company.
* Proven track record of building & leveraging relationships at all levels within an organization; seen as a trusted advisor.
* Experience using applicant tracking systems
* Knowledge of Federal and state employment laws and their application.
* Knowledge and use of relevant social media platforms
* Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, decisive, and flexible.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, negotiating skills, and networking skills.
* Demonstrable ability to handle confidential matters and maintain a professional image.

Preferred Experience

* Previous experience recruiting in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industries preferred but not required

Education and Certifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
