Job Description

Where's Weed is looking for the right person motivated to advance the cannabis industry and join our fast-paced team in Aurora. We need a qualified, energetic SEO Copywriting Intern ready to keep up with rapid national growth to join our team.

Ideal candidate thrives in a group setting but is also a self-starter and can work independently to reach marketing goals. The Intern will be responsible to manage/develop and engage in actionable and customer-facing content for the company's website, blog, email, white-papers and other marketing materials. Work collaboratively with key departments (marketing, product developers, customer service, design team, and IT) to ensure content accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

* Develop and manage website content, customer content and the blog calendar.
* Write engaging content for the company's blog, emails, ads, landing pages, white-papers and more.
* Maintain a weekly metric report on traffic statistics and content performance.
* Research, write/edit and create layouts for new content/articles. Proofread content on the website.
* Communicate with other departments to insure cohesiveness between blog and website.
* Perform other duties, as assigned. Work with design team for designs and graphics for the blog. Creating topics and new ideas for the blog.

Requirements

* Junior or Senior in standing with an accredited university or college
* Majoring in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or other writing-related major OR possessing verifiable writing experience (school newspapers, blogs, etc.)
* Knowledge of search engine optimization is preferred
* Basic HTML understanding is preferred, not required
* Writing samples required
* Must be self-motivated and organized

Compensation

* $13/hour, 20 to 40 hours a week. The internship will run through September 1st, 2018 with the possibility of ongoing employment.
