Job Description

Jr. Level Software Development position available to support custom Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software tools for a fast-paced, large organization; focused on growing big data analytics capabilities; operating across multiple networks.

Candidate should have the experience in the following areas to support Software Development:

Required Skills:

Required experience shall include development of software tools in Microsoft C# .Net 4.5 (or later) with WinForms and WPF, Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (or later) with an emphasis on the structured query language (SQL) development, and Access 2016 VBA application development.

Software engineer will be required to work individually and in a team environment with BMDS analysts to develop requirements, design prototypes, and implement key changes in a rapid prototyping environment. Knowledge of BMDS message specs or components would be a plus.

Applicant must be detail-oriented, customer focused, and have a track record with working in a team environment utilizing common software source control practices and processes. Knowledge of Teams Foundation Server (TFS) and/or Subversion (SVN) source control management is a plus.

Desired Skills:

Any of the following skills would be considered a plus: development and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Interop API, Microsoft SQL Server database architecting, development with DirectX, experience with documenting software tools and applications, and familiarity with BMDS processes, procedures, analysis, and architectures. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Database Project development and deployment within Visual Studios.

Ability to travel (1-2 times per year, 2-4 weeks at a time) a plus.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer engineering, computer science, or related technical field and 3+ years of experience.

Must have an active SECRET security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
