Job Title: Accountant I - Payroll

This position is to report to Accounting Manager. The objectives of this position are to handle normal operations and routine accounting functions, to reconcile responsible accounts for satisfying the IFRS principles, to assist with implementing internal control and internal/external auditing practice and procedures, and to assist Accounting Manager in resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities to maintain accurate accounting records. The job descriptions serve to equip the Senior Accountant with professional accounting knowledge and skills necessary for achieving the position objectives.

1. Perform timely and accurately payroll process.

2. Effectively and efficiently coordinate and follow company's policy/procedure to perform payroll daily routine functions such as review shift/non-shift overtime, employee loan/ donation deduction, meal & mileage, safety shoes reimbursement; verify & confirm PAF (Personnel action Form), confirm earning adjustments information.

3. Process W-2 adjustment and issue annual W-2 forms.

4. Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.

5. Process payroll withholding tax payment and filling

6. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

7. Payroll accounts reconciliation.

8. Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.

9. Perform timely and accurately payroll tax payment and filling.

10. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

11. Daily cash process backup and bank account reconciliation.

12. Assist Supervisor/Corporate Controller in special projects and assignments customer service issues, and on consignment sales and samples.

Minimum Qualifications

* College Degree; B S degree in Accounting is preferred
* Prefer 2 years' experience in Payroll related area.
* Knowledge of IRS and State Regulations.
* Strong proficiency with the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite; MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook, strong proficiency with MS Excel is required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, problem solving skills and confidentiality.
* Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and customer service; behave professionally; treat others with respect and dignity.
* Physical requirements include duties common to a regular office environment.
* Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required.
