Job Description

Clinician

Full-Time/Salaried/Exempt

SUMMARY- Plan and implement counseling program for residents. Serve as a role model for residents to observe and learn socially effective values, attitudes and behaviors, and liaison to community agencies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- Masters in Social Work or Counseling/Rehabilitation, two years experience working with children or adolescents. Must be licensed.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- LCSW or LPC required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide weekly individual counseling and document same.
* Provide weekly group counseling sessions and document same.
* Treatment Plan review of residents (approximately two) at each weekly Team meeting.
* Provide crisis intervention as needed.
* Develop treatment plans and report monthly on progress to community funding sources, guardians, and other involved parties (P.O.s, G.A.L.s, etc).
* Serve as clinical liaison to referral sources and parents regarding resident progress and needs; to include attendance of FAPT meetings as necessary.
* Take part in weekly multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings.
* Develop and implement plans for individual resident discharges.
* Coordinate closely with other staff to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities.
* Exercise sound judgment in proposing changes to resident treatment plans.
* Maintain high quality documentation of all case work, completed in a timely manner and consistent with outlined program policies and licensure requirements.
* Maintain record of all services provided.
* Lead/participate in staff training and/or seminar presentations as requested.
* Provide supervision for post-graduate intern or LPC, LCSW, candidate as needed.
