Overview

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the manufacturing transfer aspects in support of the development and production of implantable medical devices and related instrumentation. Will report to the Manager or Manufacturing Development Engineering.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

* Manage manufacturing process validations appropriate to standard requirements
* Manage cleaning and sterilization validations appropriate to standard requirements
* Work with project team members and/or end users to establish product requirements as they relate to the functional area
* Participate in risk management activities
* Provide appropriate documentation to support regulatory submissions and technical files.
* Contribute to the development of product specifications, drawings and other design output relating to functional area
* Provide/review information and documentation to outside vendors to facilitate production of parts and instrumentation
* Travel to industry trade shows, conventions, and off-site vendors to define and review functional related processes

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

* Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Entry level position or 1 to 3 years experience in field of implantable medical devices.
* Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, possess multitasking capability, be computer literate, and be able to work independently.
