Job Description LEYE Seeking a Part-time Receptionist

For Our Corporate Team

We're looking for someone to handle our high-volume switchboard and support the operation of the Corporate Office. Our ideal candidate will be polished, professional, energetic and bubbly. Responsibilities include greeting all guests; light administrative duties; and coordinating and/or receiving USPS mail, FedEx, UPS, and messenger deliveries.

The Receptionist must be able to answer general inquiries in a warm, efficient manner and quickly screen/direct calls to the appropriate corporate office employee or department. Wednesday & Thursday availability between 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM is a must.


* Ability to maintain a caring, gracious manner at a high-volume switchboard
* Skilled in phone etiquette & business communication skills, written and verbal
* 9 AM - 5:30 PM Wednesday/Thursday availability
* Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks
* Demonstrated dependability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
* Working knowledge of MS Word/Excel
* Receptionist/Secretary experience is preferred

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide reception and clerical support for the Corporate Office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Other duties will be assigned as needed)

Must be willing and able to do the following:

* Ability to open the switchboard promptly at 9:00am daily.
* Handle, assist or direct calls to the appropriate party in an efficient and courteous manner.
* Take messages as required.
* Maintain voicemail system.
* Distribute messages left on general mailbox voicemail.
* Sort and distribute company mail, north office faxes and US mail.
* Receive FedEx, UPS and messenger deliveries.
* Postmark U.S. Mail several times per day .
* Greet guests and applicants.
* Notify proper party of visitors.
* Maintain fax machine.
* Turn on/off all lights in the front part of the office and copy room.
* Maintain appearance of reception area, outer lobby, copy room and credenzas.
* Maintain the Out of Office log.
* Maintain the Receptionist Binder.
* Pick up morning papers from the building and distribute.
* Keep the bulletin board in the copy room updated and tidy.
* Maintain the letterhead and envelope inventory in the closet.
* Replenish paper in the north office copier, fax and printer.
* Keep track of FedEx boxes and certified mail slips.
* Order business cards for the people at the corporate office.
* Distribute and maintain updated phone & fax lists (LEYE corporate phone list, fax number sheet, corporate phone list by department and speed dial list).
* Assist in special projects including Frequent Diner, Customer Service and Donations.
* Provide clerical support to others as needed.
* Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers, partners, corporate staff and coworkers.
* Communicate in English in order to comprehend and perform/follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
* Perform more than one task at a time.
* Maintain a positive pleasant, attitude every shift.
* Accept direction and constructive criticism from management.
* Perform calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and stressful work environment.
* Be available to work a variety of days and shifts, including weekends and increased work schedules.
* Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
* Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

GENERAL RULES Must be willing and able to do the following:

* Get along with others and be a team player.
* Follow all uniform and appearance guidelines as befitting the image for the position and the Corporate Office.
* Refrain from smoking for the duration of the shift.
* Arrive to work on time and in ready to work condition.
* Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment outlined in the Employee Handbook.
* May not work under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs.
* May not resort to any type of violence, discriminatory or harassing behavior.
* Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire date, where applicable.

Failure to abide by these and any other conditions of employment of the company set forth elsewhere can subject an employee to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
