Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Day Camp Counselor

Responsible to: Day Camp Director

Summary: The Day Camp counselor is responsible for directly supervising, and implementing all aspects of day camp programs and activities. The Day Camp counselor is also responsible for the safety and well-being of all campers.

Duties:

* Planning and implementing, enjoyable, educational, and therapeutic community programs and activities for the campers.*
* Follow all ACA Standards.*
* Teach and or assist in scheduled activities.*
* Assure all campers are safe at all times.*
* Driving morning and evening van routes to and from camp.
* Assuring that the base camp, and van are clean and safe at all times.
* Service and fill van with gas as needed.
* Act as a liaison between parents/guardians and Day Camp Director.*
* Reporting and providing important information and feedback to the Day Camp Director.
* Complete and maintain all necessary records, Including attendance, incident/accident forms, accident reports, petty cash etc.*
* Assist campers in mobility and self care (dressing and restrooms).
* Act as Health Care Manager (except as Medication Manager unless certified) in the absence of the Health Care Manager. Complete all necessary forms.*
* Respond to and document consumer/parent complaints.

Supporting the Life Unlimited, Inc. staff at all times, consistent with the interest of the agency and its clients.

Looking for new ways to improve own self.

Seeking work from supervisor or offering to help co workers whenever assigned tasks are complete.

Qualifications:

1.High School Diploma

2.Chauffeurs License

3.CPR & First Aid

4.Good Driving Record

5.Experience Working with people with Developmental Disabilities.

Must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for employment as Day Camp Counselor
