POSITION SUMMARY

Advanced Energy is currently seeking a talented Finance Intern to join our team. This role will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information for AE's Industrial product lines. The Intern will leverage financial knowledge and technical skills to validate financial information, understand and explain budget variances, and help internal customers understand their financial performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist in distribution of Profit and Loss statements for Advanced Energy's Industrial product lines.
Explain and report variances between forecast and actual for gross margin and operational expenses.
Track and report R&D investments across a portfolio of strategic projects.
Assist in generation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly enterprise revenue reports.
Participate in the quarterly forecast process.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.). Extended hours will be necessary depending on market conditions from time to time. Travel, both domestic and international, up to 20% of work time, is anticipated. This position has a significant amount of interdepartmental communications.
* This position will be located in Ft. Collins, CO.

SKILLS:

* Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics
Entering Junior/Senior year
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills
Experience leading cross-functional teams
