Avantor Supply Chain Team has an exciting intern opportunity for a motivated, self-directed student who is interested in learning about and developing skills in the area of Supply Chain/Procurement. The Supply Chain Intern will be involved in project implementation support for our multi-site Avantor Fluid Handling System and support the Procurement team.

Minimum requirements

The Supply Chain Intern must be enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Supply Chain or Operations Management.

* Act as a data and process analyst for key supply chain projects.
* Assess data requirements, perform testing and support new process definition

Preferred Competencies/Experiences:


* Understanding of Supply Chain order management
* Daily Purchase order management:
* Placing orders, getting confirmations, expediting, and rescheduling orders to ensure system generated purchase orders are aligned to support Customer need dates.
* Routinely analyzes the purchasing history, to determine minimum inventory, order quantity, lead time, opportunity for price breaks, and potential future requirements.
* Owns and resolves the daily tactical supply chain issues; Backorder resolution, Lead time management, Supplier production issues, etc. May complete daily review of stock-outs, accountable for timely resolution of supply chain issues.


* Strong analytic skills
* Systems collaboration and communication skills
* Computer/System Experience
* ERP system experience
* Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access


* KPI's
* Customer/Vendor On Time Delivery
* Forecast accuracy
* Inventory turns/ Days of Inv OH
* Leadtime analysis Supply/Demand variability
* Service Level goals
* Inventory budgets


* Support Supply Chain Projects
