Job Description

Underwriting Coordinator

Summary:

This is an entry level position in the underwriting department for the Underwriting Coordination Team. The Underwriting Coordinator is primarily responsible for reviewing and ensuring that all data is accurately entered into various systems for different lines of business. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to work and learn in a team environment.

Underwriting Coordinator Responsibilities:

* Use data provided by the underwriter to provide accurate data for quotes on new and renewal business
* Use systems for premium allocation and invoicing
* Issue policies, endorsements and cancellations
* Finalize and enter policies and premium into systems within established service standards
* Participate in special projects/assignments at direction of UCT Manager.
* Assist in training new team members

Qualifications:

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Strong verbal, reading and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment

Education:

Bachelors degree from four-year college or university
