Job Description

Seismic, the world's leading provider of sales enablement tools, is on the hunt for a for a passionate and talented Revenue Accounting Intern. Seismic has been doubling revenue year-over-year for the past five years and just raised $100 million. Our Finance organization is growing with the goal of being prepared for a potential future IPO.

You are right for this role if you are interested in developing your technical accounting skills specifically in the area of revenue recognition for technology companies. The role also offers experience in contracts analysis as well as working with large amounts of unstructured data. If you are a problem solver that is detail oriented, then this is the experience for you.

Responsibilities

* Key contributor to significant accounting project - assessing and implementing new revenue standard (ASC 606)
* Review and analyze revenue contracts and document significant terms
* Support and participate in recasting financial results in accordance with ASC 606
* Assist in the drafting of key revenue policy and position documents

Support accounting team with daily operations and close cycleAssist in the development of new processes and procedures

Qualifications

* Current student pursuing a degree in accounting or finance
* Sound understanding of basic revenue recognition principles / familiar with ASC 606
* Possess analytical skills and have the willingness to learn and execute supportable analyses
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient using Excel
* Professional presence and a self-starter
* Goal oriented with a bias to team results (with team members)
