Job Description

Provides prompt quality service to customers of banquet bar by preparing beverages and serving guests in accordance with Hotel standards

* Provides service by suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverage, recommending promotional items and up-selling to premium products as appropriate
* Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes, mixing procedures, glassware, garnishes, etc
* Prepares drinks in accordance with the guest's order
* Adhere to established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs
* Maintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions
* Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies
* Stocks and orders all supplies and glassware; displays beverages in an attractive fashion
* Inventory unused liquor and beverages, ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift
* Ensures the proper and adequate set-up of bars.
* Stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
* Mixes garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
* Inspect bar daily for cleanliness and attractiveness and inspect all equipment and machinery for proper operation



Adheres to legal and/or Radisson Blu policies and standards

* Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service
* Checks guests for proper identification, manages method of payment, and serves alcohol according to State, Federal and corporate liquor regulations.
* Alert Management of any service and/or safety issues
* Handles cash, checks and/or credit cards in accordance with Hotel policies

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations

* Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
* Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
* Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
* Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
* Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.

REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Minimum of two years experience in a similar position in an upscale, full service bar
* Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, preparation methods and garnishments
* Ability to relate to all levels of guests and management
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and guest requests
* Ability to effectively present information one on one to guests, clients and other employees within the organization
* Formal bartending training preferred
* Must meet State legal age requirements for serving alcohol
* Ability to read and speak English
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
* Must possess a strong team spirit
* Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Ability to regularly lift and/or push up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
* Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
* Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
* Ability to tolerate exposure loud/noisy environment
