Job Description

The Human Resources Intern will be provided the opportunity to participate in work related assignments, gain practical work experience, and

network with employees from various departments. The HR Intern will have the opportunity to apply academic curriculum to real-world situations, particularly

in relation to compliance type issues. Internships are anticipated to start in June and will continue through August.

* Recruitment & Onboarding:
* Assist Managers in submitting job requisitions for approval and monitoring approval process
* Post new positions to job boards and company career page
* Conduct phone screening for specific job requisitions and present candidates to HR team
* Schedule candidate interviews at the request of HR team
* Draft offer letters and coordinate welcome gifts for new team members
* Set-up new team members in HRIS system (non-payroll related tasks)
* Administration:
* Compile reports from HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now)
* Assist with employee file maintenance
* Assist in internal audits of HR records
* Assist in administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
* Assist in administration of all Human Resources transactions, including new hires, status changes and terminations
* Projects may include:
* document management and retention protocols affirmative action plan revisions
* job description creation and revisions
* team member event organization, promotion and execution
* Performs customer service functions by answering or redirecting employee requests and questions
* Assist with daily HR business functions

Preferred Education & Experience:

* Junior or Senior in a related undergraduate program, or enrollment in a graduate program, such as Human Resources, Business

Administration or Business Management Major preferred
* Desire to grow career in the Human Resources field
* Detail oriented
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Word and Excel
* Customer service experience
