Position Summary: Internship Description Summary PRA Group is currently looking for hard working, bright, and energetic undergraduate and graduate students to join our 2019 Summer Internship Program. This is a temporary position involving various duties that permit exposure to the student's field of study and/or provide experience that is a useful addition to the student's education and meaningful preparation for future professional employment. Overview of Internship Program: The summer program offers paid internship opportunities at the PRA Group national headquarters office in Norfolk, Virginia, as well as at PRA Group offices located across the U.S. The internship program is a combination of mentoring, learning activities, and project work designed to give broad exposure to the inner workings of global, publicly traded, financial services corporation. The nature of the assignments will vary, allowing opportunity to exercise customization and creativity, while providing a practical and challenging business experience. Professional/Career development workshops and activities Social activities/outings Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Under immediate direction and under work guidance of administrative staff, assists and supports division(s) in development of business projects Utilizes Microsoft Office products; prepares spreadsheets with data interpretation; performs related duties in support of project efforts (e.g. design, monitoring, data extraction, research and reporting) in areas of performance monitoring, outcomes and compliance with policies and rules Provide support with project meetings (schedule project meetings, assist with project documentation, document meeting minutes, and project action/task items) Create/analyze process workflows to increase efficiency with cross-functional divisions and/departments Identify areas for process improvement Make recommendations to leadership for streamlining systems and processes Communicate project/program manager requirements Analyzing data trends, creating reports Creates and maintains files; drafts internal correspondence; performs general and/or clerical duties as assigned related to the business Professional Experience/Qualifications: Current enrollment in a program leading to Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent education, experience and training in Business, International Studies, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Law, Political Science, Communications, Economics, Decision Sciences, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, related major, or recent college graduate from Spring 2019. Minimum 3.0 grade point average Good organizational skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office software, and internet. Strong knowledge and use of Excel. Experience with Access is a plus. Will train on computerized system. Must have effective organizational, communication, time-management and interpersonal skills and high attention to detail. Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines on tasks to develop professional skill sets. This is a paid internship from June to August 2019. Interns need to be available to work up to 40 hours per week. Applications are accepted for positions until filled. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office environment, in an individual work station, using telephone and computer.
