Job Description


The Mutual Fund Specialist will work as part of the mutual funds/pricing team that directly supports our investment teams. Daily responsibilities involve working with the trading desks and third-party administrators in security valuation and Net Asset Value determination. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn about mutual funds and the dynamic financial industry. The incumbent will be exposed to various aspects of investment operations and the trading desks and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities overtime.

Ideal candidates should have a basic understanding of accounting practices and mechanics of equity and fixed income securities. The position will also handle mutual fund related investor inquiries so strong verbal and written communication skills are required.


* Compile security valuations from third-party pricing vendors
* Review security price movements with trading desks
* Document price source changes and vendor selections for new purchases
* Liaise with various fund administrators in the review and approval of daily net asset value calculations
* Coordinate activities with audit firms in meeting annual audit requirements
* Field mutual fund related inquiries from investors and client services

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (with focus in accounting and/or finance), Economics, or a similar field
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong math/finance and computer skills, particularly Excel

* Works well in a fast-paced environment: ability to prioritize, perform with high accuracy, and meet tight deadlines
* A team player with strong work ethics
* Ability to follow detailed instructions
* 1-2 years of experience in investment management operations
* Knowledge of global fixed income securities/instruments including derivatives and currency is preferred
* High interest in investment management and ability to learn quickly
