Position Summary

Victoria College is hiring for a full-time, benefits eligible, nine-month tenured track Chemistry Instructor position available August 2019. We are looking for an engaging team player comfortable with traditional, interactive television, and online/hybrid assignments. Teaching assignment may include all levels of chemistry through Organic Chemistry. Class size is usually limited to 35 students in lecture and 20-30 in lab, depending on course. A successful candidate will compassionately commit to rigor and retention through campus partnerships at the departmental, divisional, and institutional levels. Committee work and other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean. Teaching assignment may include evenings and weekend classes.

Starting earned monthly for the nine-month position is $4,890.00 depending on degree and experience. The earned annual is paid out over twelve months.

Duties & Responsibilities

Regular faculty members help students achieve learning outcomes by teaching assigned classes in accordance with established guidelines and policies and participate in advising and committee assignments, other academic and institutional support activities, and supervisory responsibilities as assigned.



* A Master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Chemistry. The successful applicant must be qualified to teach Organic Chemistry. Will consider May 2019 graduates.
