Generalist - Human Resources, 40 hrs

Due to the diversity of responsibilities of the role, the ideal candidate is a competent and resourceful individual with a passion for HR. The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Department and organization leadership to support a delegated HR function and general HR support for an assigned business/service line as needed.

The HR Generalist will possess knowledge in most aspects of the HR field with extensive experience in employee relations, performance management and/or recruitment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with others in situations requiring tact and diplomacy. This is a long-term temporary position estimated to last 18-24 months with the ability to continue employment when the project is complete.


* Partners with HR colleagues and leadership team in development and execution of human resources initiatives to meet business goals.
* Communicates implements and administers company policies/procedures in the areas of recruitment, benefits and compensation, learning and development, and HR Information systems to meet the business goals.
* Supports leadership to ensure effective employee relations in matters of supervision, discipline, termination, motivation and performance management procedures, practices and policies.
* Provides individual coaching using conflict resolution and mediation techniques, intervention and change management strategies as circumstances dictate. Refers teammates to the appropriate resources/services, where applicable.

The ideal education and experience:

* Bachelor's degree, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field
* PHR or SHRM-CP certification
* Experience in HR business partner/employee relations; performance management, recruitment
* Experience in Workday preferred
