Position Summary
The Tax Analyst I is responsible for developing high-quality and accurate tax content and integrating the information into the TaxAct software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of the position are listed below.  To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Interpret Federal and state tax laws and implement the calculations and tax law changes into the tax software.
  • Create calculations for the tax forms.
  • Design the layout of the forms.
  • Write Q&A questions to help users accurately complete their tax returns.
  • Write and review test case scenarios.
  • Work closely with Scrum Team to optimize product for the consumers.
  • Other job duties as defined. 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
