The Role

Assistant Cost Consultant

The role carries responsibility for reporting all monthly capital spend for the US clients and executives.

Assisting with the close out reports of all East Hanover projects and supporting the center of excellence teams in producing various documents regarding global spend.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

* Managing a portfolio of up to 200 concurrent projects.
* Evaluating actual spend against monthly targets.
* Challenging the project engineers to meet their goals.
* Reviewing payment applications and change orders.
* Providing support for compiling independent estimates.
* Building positive working relationships within both the design and construction management (DCM) and center of excellence (CoE) teams.
* Working closely on a day to day basis with 13 site/regional leads. Covering the following locations: Broomfield, Cambridge, Carlsbad, East Hanover, Emeryville, Fort Worth, Johns Creek, La Jolla, Lake Forest, Princeton, Mexico and Central, Canada, America and South America.
* Developing and maintaining the five year strategic plan.
* Assisting in key decisions and offer advices as and when required.

The Requirements

Your Experience, Knowledge and Skills Need to Include:

* Previous experience in the New York market.
* Excellent technical grounding in all aspects of cost management.
* Management experience, both in the context of managing a team delivering a commission and general line management.
* At least 3-5 years' experience is preferred.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
* Computer programming knowledge is preferred but is not essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A good team player.


* A degree qualification in an engineering, construction or finance related field is preferred.
* Professional memberships are an advantage but are not essential.
