Job Description

Job Details:

The Security Administrator will be responsible for developing, evaluating and managing systems security across the enterprise for both internal and external customers. In addition, the Security Administrator will assist with Security projects, Identity and Access Management initiatives, audits, and the development and implementation of security, controls, policies and procedures.

The candidate must be able to learn to think with a security mindset, and have an information systems, engineering or computer science/technology background

* Assist internal and external customers with multi-platform security access issues and requests.
* Under general direction from management, monitor, evaluate and maintain systems and procedures to protect networks, systems, and databases from unauthorized use.
* Research, recommend and implement changes to procedures and systems to enhance systems security.
* Assist in communicating security policies and procedures to users.
* Provide periodic reporting to systems owners.
* Maintain knowledge of changing technologies.
* Provide information security project support to critical business and IT projects.
* Provide management with operational metrics.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and communication skills, strong judgement, and the ability to work independently with both local and remote IT staff/management, vendors, and consultants.
* Requires basic understanding of cyber security principles.
* Strong written and communications skills

Familiarity with:

* Standard technical writing tools including MS Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
* Microsoft Active Directory and/or Computer Associates CA Directory (LDAP)

Preferred Skills:

* Experience developing business requirements
* Exposure to database administration (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL)
* Exposure to Unix/Linux user administration
* Programming/scripting: Examples include Java, PowerShell
* Client/server platforms including Linux, and Microsoft Windows
* Microsoft Active Directory and/or Computer Associates CA Directory (LDAP)
* Strong authentication (e.g. RSA SecurID, Entrust IdentityGuard, Duo) administration
* Administration and /or end user experience with Identity and Access Management ( e.g. SailPoint IdentityIQ, SailPoint SecurityIQ)
* Experience working in and developing solutions for a highly regulated environment or organization that leverages a security framework (such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, COBIT, etc).

Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.
