MDS/PPS Coordinator

Saint Elizabeth Manor, a leader in providing long term and rehabilitation care is looking for a MDS/PPS Coordinator. Qualified applicants should have at least two years experience working in long term care, excellent communication skills, organizational skills and experience working with MDS/insurance authorizations. Current RI RN license required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION

The primary purpose of your job is to ensure all PPS requirements are met, and to maintain communication with all other insurance providers. Also to coordinate with Rehab and Nursing for maximum RUGS potential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Complete all PPS MDS and CAAS
* Communicate with the Rehabilitation Department to maximize RUGS.
* Conduct all weekly Medicare meetings.
* Maintains communication with all other Insurance Companies and updates resident reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Holds a current nursing license in the state of Rhode Island.
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* No experience needed, one year experience preferred.
* A comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and procedures; administration of medications and possible side effects; knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to resident care and rights.
* A comprehensive knowledge of MDS, CAA's, and RUGS to maximize PPS.
* Professional standards and code of ethics must be adhered to at all times.
