Responsibilities

The Junior Financial Analyst will support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding program and be responsible for assisting senior staff by providing financial management support in one or more of the following areas: Budget Execution & Documentation, Contract Management, Accounting Reconciliation, and Acquisition Reporting.

The Junior Financial Analyst will provide assistance in one or more of the following areas:

* Prepare funding execution documents and track to ensure acceptance and accurate recording in Navy financial systems.
* Utilize experience in ERP in generating reports and complete financial execution related activities.
* Maintain financial and contract status, historical records, reports, and assessments to identify program financial resources, shortfalls, obligations, and expenditure data.
* Assist in the financial planning, consolidation, tracking, and updating of execution ledgers.
* Perform the research necessary to review, prepare, and track Task Planning Sheets (TPS) program requirements and development of phasing, allocation, and spend plans.
* Execute, update, and track weekly funding documents and financial status funds reports and provide financial inputs to the Program Manager/Business Financial Manager reports.
* Assist in the Government's reconciliation of financial transactions (NULOs/ ULOs/ UMDs) in STARS, EDA, MOCAS, COBRA, ERP and Paying Office records and recommending corrective actions.
* Prepare supporting data to justify corrections.
* Maintain detailed records, binder preparation, and track contract financial metrics.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree OR high school diploma or equivalent AND experience deemed equivalent in lieu of a degree.
* Up to five (5) years of relevant experience.
* Active Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS or the ability to obtain an interim clearance within 60 days.
