Job Description



Brandywine Counseling and Community Services (BCCS) is non-profit, outpatient alcohol and drug treatment agency that helps adults of all ages and backgrounds focus on changing behaviors and attitudes. We have served the Delaware community for over 20 years at our six locations throughout the state. Our staff includes certified alcohol and drug counselors, registered and licensed practical nurses, psychologists, and physicians who work closely with clients and their families. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Delaware. We are a full member of the United Way. Our programs help addicted individuals, and in so doing, provide a valuable service to the community.


Brandywine Counseling and Community Services, Inc. is a substance abuse treatment agency that provides counseling and related assistance to addicted persons and their families for chemical addiction and related problems.

BCCS is currently in seek of an intern for our Prevention program.

The ideal candidate will have experience with marketing, communications, social media marketing or a related field. Some specific tasks would be familiarity with all social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Proficient in Microsoft office, experience with Photoshop or related software a plus. Ability to multi-task, organize, work independently or in a team. Event planning interest/skills are a plus, but not required.

Schedule: Maximum 10 hours per week, flexible schedule. May include some evenings and weekends.


During your internship you will come to understand a basic knowledge of the following areas:

1. Drug and Alcohol Treatment evaluation and protocol and testing.

2. Drug and Alcohol Treatment principles, standards, and best practices.

3. Community Resources.

4. Drug and Alcohol Clinical Practices.
